Who is Jesus?

“I am the Way, the Truth and the Life”

Jesus is God in the flesh; He is God's son and our saving King. He experienced life on earth just like we do today; He felt pain, He suffered and He was also put to the test. Unlike us, though, He was perfect and was in God's plan before creation.

"God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."(Romans 5:8). Jesus was sent to die on the cross for you and me, to takeaway the punishment of our sin for all those who put their trust and faith in Him.

However, that is not the end of the story. "Christ died for our sins...He was buried...He was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures...He appeared to Peter, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than 500..." (1 Corinthians 15:3-6).

Who is God?
"God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 NIV).

God is the creator of all things. He is our heavenly Father.

What does it mean to be a Christian?
Being a Christian means to put your trust and faith in the Lord; you believe that Christ died for your sins and rose again to be with God the Father. It means you believe that all of this is possible through Jesus Christ alone, not by our own works, but by grace. "By grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast" (Ephesians 2:8,9).

When we are a Christian we have the hope of Eternal Life with Christ. We do not need to fear death for we are alive in Christ.

I am still not sure
That's ok! Speak to one of our staff members who can help sort out any troubles you may be having. It is completely confidential and your details will not be passed on to anyone.

How do I become a Christian?
You can receive Christ right now through prayer; talking to God.

We are so blessed to have a Father who wants to hear from us, He longs to hear from us. He knows your heart and is not concerned with your words, but rather if you truly believe in your heart that Christ is Lord.

You can pray a prayer to God now, a suggestion is:
"Lord Jesus, I need You. I know you died on the cross to save me from my sins and for that I am truly thankful. I am sorry I fall short of your ways to sin. Please be with me and help me to live a life that is pleasing to you. Please help me to have a relationship with you and make me the kind of person you want me to be. I commit my life to you and, with your help and the help of the Holy Spirit, will put you at the centre of my life in everything that I do. Thank you God. Amen".

Does this sound like something you would like to do, or have just done? If so, that's great! We would love to hear from you.
